  • Alaska Crossings is a 46-day wilderness treatment program for youth with mental health illness. Each group is comprised of 3 staff and up to 9 participants. Must have experience as a trip leader, and be proficient in use of all backpacking equipment including stoves, maps, compass, etc. Knowledge of natural history, experience as environmental educator, and low-impact philosophy are essential. Wilderness First Aid or Advanced First Aid is required. Lifeguard Certification is a plus. Pre-camp Program Head training required June 6-11.
  • Arts & Crafts Coordinator: (1 position, $250/week + DOE + room & board) Training and experience in arts and crafts, ability to teach a wide variety of art activities to young people, order and maintain supplies within an established budget, keep A&C hut organized and clean, self-motivated, ability to work independently as well as with others, excellent time management skills. Pre-camp Program Head training required June 6-11.
  • Ropes Course / Rock-climbing Coordinator: (1 position, $275/week + DOE+ room & board) Documented training and experience with adventure/ropes course. Ability to coordinate an adventure/ropes course program using a course designed for the camp. Maintain backpacking gear and participate in 2 re-supply / rock climbing days with backpacking program. Pre-camp Program Head training required June 6-11. Archery/Activity Coordinator: (1 position, $250/week + DOE + room & board) Documented training and experience in archery. Must have ability to coordinate a program for all residential programs. Maintain archery equipment and assist in coordination of all camp activities. Assist Ropes Course Coordinator with group games, team building activities and wilderness equipment maintenance.Pre-camp Program Head training required June 6-11.
