  • Our Internship position is designed to provide students an opportunity to apply and explore knowledge, skills and attitudes developed during their academic experience. We serve youth ages 6-18; generally 25-60 students at a time. Our programs have heavy emphasis on adventure, teambuilding, and hands on social studies curriculum.
  • Responsibilities: Interns work closely with the camp Directors and staff to run a wide range of adventure, environmental, and experiential education activities. We are a small camp and our staff make up a community where everyone pitches in!

  • The Sheridan School Mountain Campus serves private and public schools from all over the DC/MD/VA area. We serve youth ages 6-18. We're a small personal operation serving 25 to 60 students at a time, with a heavy emphasis on adventure, teambuilding and hands on social studies programming.
  • Instructors are responsible for running a wide range of adventure, environmental, and experiential activities. Average work week runs fairly non-stop from Monday mid-morning to Friday early-afternoon, including a couple evening programs. Usually one weekend a month. May & September being incredibly busy.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older. Previous experience working with youth and outdoor/adventure ed. experience. Solid judgment. CPR and First Aid or WFA (WFR strongly preferred). Degree in related field. Be of quality character and clean background. Able to work within a close community of instructors.
  • Additional compensation based on experience; Eligible for a 3 season contract, Health/Dental Benefits, WFR certification course FREE after 1 season.
